Saeyoon Chon

Sae Yoon made his debut with the Cleveland Orchestra under Maestro Jahja Ling at age eight-teen in Severance hall. Since then he have performed with such orchestras including the Orchestra de Valencia in Palau de music, Valencia, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra in Seoul Arts center, Astana Symphony Orchestra in Astana Opera house, Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra in Hilton Head Island  and Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra in Hanoi Opera House. He has collaborated with conductors Burno Aprea, Young Min Park, John Morris Russell, Jahja Ling, Erzhan Dautov, and Jakyung Year.


On 2017, he placed 2nd prize and special prize at Jose Itrubi International Piano Competition and 5th Prize at the Seoul International Piano Competition. Sae Yoon has been awarded numerous prizes in international piano competitions. 3rd Prize at the 2016 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, 3rd Prize at the 2014 Cooper International Piano Competition in Oberlin,4th Prize at the 2013 Hilton Head International Piano Competition for Young Artists, 3rd Prize in the 2013 International Festival and Competition for Young Pianists "Astana Piano Passion". First Prize and the Best Classical Work Player award in the 2012 Hanoi International Piano Competition, and 2nd Prize in the 2012 Isidor Bajic Memorial Piano Competition in Novi sad, Serbia.


Sae Yoon started playing the piano at age of six. He continued studying at Yewon Art School and the Seoul Art High School with Hyoung-Joon Chang. Currently Sae Yoon continues his studies at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada as a pupil of John O'Conor and James Anagnoson. Sae Yoon is a recipient of a Szenteleky de-Kruz scholarship at The Glenn Gould School.
